As our contestants keep on keeping on through Challenge 2, 1:1 would like to take an opportunity for you to get to know each of them a little more. First up in the hot seat is Kelsey.

Kelsey pole-vaulted over the Great Wall of China, rode a motorbike to the coast of the Yellow Sea before swimming across the entire Pacific Ocean to arrive back in San Diego to be considered eligible as an 1:1 intern. She would probably tell you a different version of a similar story, but Kelsey recently returned state-side after spending an academic year at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. And she does rock a motorbike in San Diego.

Unrelated to her experience there, we at 1:1 had a few questions for her.

1:1 – You can invite three people to dinner, dead or alive. Who would you invite?

Kelsey –  If I could invite anyone to dinner, I think it would have to be Ghandi, JFK, and Betty White. I think I’d just like a good chat, pick their brains.

1:1 – Name your favorite thing about San Diego.

Kelsey – I love San Diego, but my favorite thing is probably dusk- the time of day where everything is so beautiful and peaceful.

1:1 – What was the last book, news article, or blog you read?

Kelsey – The last book I read was the Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. I definitely would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t read it yet.

And there you have it folks. Thanks for sharing, Kelsey! Stay tuned to hear about Shane the Giant.
