What is it that we do?
We are a collective of motivated folks who got fed up with the negative tone of environmentalism. Just like you, we love the communities we live in, and we want to keep them beautiful. We want more trees for our kids to climb, and more outdoor space to explore. We want to live in houses that keep our neighborhoods clean and green. We want to eat delicious food that not only keeps us healthy, but also supports farmers and ecosystems. We want to sustain our economy from Monday morning coffee to last call on Saturday night. We want to plan epic vacations knowing that the rainforests, the polar bears, and the coral reefs will still be there for us to see. And we’re guessing other people, in other communities, want the same thing.
The road to sustainability is built through inclusive and accessible conversation.
We can not solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.
We practice what we preach, and operate as a Zero-Waste organization.
We are constantly revising programs for maximum impact. No ego here.
Collaboration is at the core of everything we do.
We are starting the conversation and inspiring students with innovative methods of preserving the environment.
What Does 1 to 1 Mean?
It means the ratio of action to desired outcome. In other words, one plastic bag not used equals one bag conserved. Congrats—you made a difference! It means trading a negative for a positive. Instead of worrying about your car’s carbon emissions, focus on enjoying the outdoors as you bike to work. It means bringing people together to create a shift in sustainability measures: from lectures to conversation, from ecosystems to neighborhoods, from negative predictions to positive change.Meet The Team
We’re working to demystify the concept of sustainability
Sustainability is not only an environmental issue, but also one that affects our economy, our health, our cultural diversity, and that of surrounding wildlife.Join The Movement
